16 episodes on the books that were left out of the Bible and what they tell us. In the second century there was no New Testament. There was only a shelf of books with no fixed edges. Marcion published the first Christian Bible. Rival churches read gospels of their own. Women taught and prophesied. Revelation was nearly shut out. Over three centuries readers, bishops and copyists sorted the shelf. At Nicaea in 325 a coalition became the church.
